Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of outreach strategies to raise awareness of the gallery's exhibitions, educational programs, and other Center for Bioethics and Humanities events among local communities, educational institutions, community organizations, and the general public. The Community Outreach Liaison will establish and maintain partnerships with relevant organizations, institutions, and groups to facilitate collaboration, cross-promotion, and audience development. They will assist in planning and coordinating community engagement events, workshops, lectures, and other activities that align with the Center's mission to explore the intersection of art, ethics, and healthcare. They will also represent the gallery at various community events, festivals, and forums, engaging with attendees and promoting the Center's offerings. They will be expected to maintain detailed records of outreach activities, track attendance and engagement metrics, and provide regular reports on the effectiveness of outreach efforts. Other duties as assigned.

Please note that this is a .25 FTE position (10 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Outreach and Partnership Development (30%):
    • Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness of gallery exhibitions, educational programs, and CBH events
    • Establish and maintain partnerships with local communities, educational institutions, and community organizations
    • Represent the gallery at campus and community events, festivals, and forums
  • Event Planning and Coordination (25%):
    • Assist in planning and coordinating community engagement events, workshops, and lectures
    • Organize activities that align with the Center's mission to explore the intersection of art, humanities, ethics, and healthcare
  • Community Engagement and Education (20%):
    • Engage with attendees at various events to promote the Center's offerings
    • Conduct educational outreach to increase understanding of the Center's mission and programs
  • Reporting and Analytics (15%):
    • Maintain detailed records of outreach activities
    • Track attendance and engagement metrics
    • Provide regular reports on the effectiveness of outreach efforts
  • Marketing and Promotion (10%):
    • Assist in developing promotional materials for events and programs
    • Collaborate on cross-promotional efforts with partner organization
  • Other Duties as Assigned (5%):
    • Perform additional tasks as required by the Director of the Arts and Humanities in Healthcare Program

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 1-2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
    • A combination of education and related training (such as completed Health Navigation and Older Adult Research Specialist training available through the Multi-disciplinary Center on Aging at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus) may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completed Health Navigation and Older Adult Research Specialist training available through the Multi-disciplinary Center on Aging at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
  • Demonstrated experience in education, community outreach, audience development, or event planning, preferably in an arts or cultural organization.
  • Experience in event planning and coordination, particularly in cultural or educational settings

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as at $11,712 to $13,704.
